Arun is passionate about using technology to improve lives, currently focusing on enabling widespread adoption of electronic cash. He is the CTO of MobiFin, a leading payment platform provider, and continues to stay hands-on as an engineer, developer, and product manager. Over his 34-year career in finance, telecom, and IT, Arun has co-founded two companies—Nearex and Jataayu Software—and served as CTO of Mahindra Comviva. His 17 years as a startup founder have given him end-to-end experience in product-market fit, fundraising, team building, scaling, and exit strategies. His teams’ products, reaching over 100 million users globally, have earned numerous awards for innovation and excellence. Arun holds a Master’s degree in Electronics Engineering and has represented his organizations at global forums like W3C, OMA, and the Mobile Web Initiative. Based in Bengaluru, he volunteers with IEEE, Rotary International (District 3192), and SocIT Foundation. He is the current President of Rotary Bengaluru Heritage North, is on the Board of Governors of IEEE Technology and Engineering Management Society and is a Founding Trustee of SocIT Foundation.
